Japan Refused Custody of Yasukuni Arsonist
In the latest development concerning Japan’s relationship with China and South Korea, or the ‘Triangle of Hate’, a South Korean court has refused to extradite a Chinese national to Japan in order to stand trial for a Yasukuni Shrine arson attack. The Yasukuni shrine is, of course, famous due to rumours of a recent visit from AKB48 (and possibly some other stuff about commemorating war criminals). Continue reading »
New Cabinet Hints They May “Unapologize” for Imperial Japan’s Use of Comfort Women
In one of the most cartoonish displays of disregard for another culture since Breakfast at Tiffany’s Mr. Yunioshi, Japan has alluded it may revise or even scrap entirely its nearly 20-year-old official apology for Imperial Japan’s use of South Korean “comfort women” during World War II, effectively bitch slapping its northern neighbor and economic ally for no good reason.
